This simple DIY popsicle stick catapult project is the perfect activity for kids to learn while having fun. All you need are some common household supplies, and some launchable objects. We recommend using snap peas for maximum fun!
Playing with your food is usually against the rules... but if you learn while you play, it can't be that bad, right? Learn how to make a DIY snap pea catapult at home using only popsicle sticks, hot glue, and recycled objects!
HOW TO MAKE A POPSICLE STICK CATAPULT

MATERIALS
3 clothes pins
Jumbo popsicle stick
recycled cardboard (about 3"x3")
recycled bottle cap
EQUIPMENT
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Glue the three clothespins on top of one another, all facing the same direction.

Step 2: Glue the bottom of the stack of clothespins to a small piece of cardboard.

Step 3: Glue the popsicle stick to the top clothespin with half the popsicle stick hanging off.

Step 4: Glue the bottle cap to the top end of the popsicle stick.

Step 5: Tape your cardboard down to a table. Then place a snap pepa in your bottle cap, push the popsicle stick down, and fire away!
